Venus <=> Mercury

V E N U S ⇔ M E R C U R Y

At 5:51 am EDT Venus turned direct, on her day, in her sign, at 25 deg 14’ Libra. Matters of the heart are renewed, and we move forward ready to integrate the insights of the past 5+ weeks.

.

Today may hold a gift of prosperity, or unbounded creativity, for our perseverance. We embrace our beloved, the strictures of limiting patterns loosen, and deeper connection is possible. We will face these patterns anew as Venus traverses the shadowy valley of Scorpio again in the upcoming weeks, but this time we may find the darkness more friendly, more familiar. Fecund and mysterious, yet not as haunted, we surrender to the guidance of the soul, and hone our inspiration.

.

At 8:33 pm EDT Mercury turns retrograde, delaying our communications and slowing our plans. Rather than strain against, we must work with conversations that clarify the past, or refine current projects. This is the best use of this time. Traditionally it is not the time for commencing brand new or risky projects that would require us to have our sharpest instincts firing.

.

Mercury is stationing at 13 deg 27’ minutes Sagittarius, it’s sign of detriment or exile. Mercury is not it’s most clear and precise in this frank and fiery sign, and those bestowed with this natal placement tend to speak abundantly, think tangentially, taking a roundabout way to get to the heart of the matter. In retrograde we can take all of the time that is needed, and chose silence and reflection as a part of the communication process that is just as effective, if not more so, than always having “the right thing to say”.

.

Mercury stations retrograde within a close square aspect with Neptune in its modern domicile of Pisces, also in retrograde. This tricky geometry can be likened to a hall of mirrors in the mind; can we be sure that what we see is real, or just a reflection of a reflection? Illusion/delusion/disillusion replicate like fractal crystals of possibility, and so we take the utmost care entering this new retrograde shift.

Begin with listening, receiving, considering so that each word is chosen from under the tongue like a grain of sand, slowly polished into a pearl ✨
