Jupiter in Sagittarius

J U P I T E R  in S A G I T T A R I U S

.

Nov 8/18 - Dec 3/19

.

So auspicious that Thursday, Jupiter's Day, welcomed Jupiter into Sagittarius at 7:38 am EDT. At 2 pm EDT the Moon will conjunct Jupiter, combining the nurturing potential of emerging lunar forces with Jupiter’s benevolence and abundance. Though other upcoming astrological forces indicate ongoing growth and challenge, this ingress and conjunction bodes well for the overall outcome of 2018-19. I am optimistic, but I would be with 3 planets in Sagittarius myself!

.

It takes Jupiter about 12 years to make it’s way around our Sun, where this big, bold benefic resides in 1 zodiac sign for approximately a whole year. During this time Jupiter goes retrograde for about 3 months, extending it’s expansive tenancy, re-emphasising the area of life it is working through, indicated by our charts.

.

Jupiter is in it’s Domicile in Sagittarius, a great homecoming, it’s unbounded presence completely in phase with the optimistic, questing Centaur’s archetype. Imagine that well educated + traveled, free spirited aunt/uncle has just come back from living abroad, is at the dinner table, pouring wine for everyone, regaling the family with madcap tales that, remarkably, have a profound teaching embedded in each one...

.

It is sure to be an auspicious year, a time to go big and live large according to the house in our natal chart that Sagittarius is connected to. Jupiter is also the guru planet, with Sagittarius representing the perpetual student, so we will experience growth not only in size, space, and opportunity, but also in personal growth through the school of life that is honing us for our Highest Purpose.

.

Jupiter bestows many gifts, opportunities, and a lucky “can’t lose” feeling, but this can also be associated with excess, or an overconfidence that one can ride like a high. Though this year will be notable, even exhilarating, try to guide this wave of benevolence, free of suspicion, yet with some sense of reverence and gratitude, managing its boon so that what has opened for us can be sustained for the years to come…

.

If you can, remember what was happening in your life back in 2006-07. For example, Jupiter crossed my natal Venus in Sagittarius in December 2006, the month my Sagittarius husband proposed. Within that Jupiterian year we were married. To this day we often collaborate, working together in health and wellbeing, as per my 6th house, and his 10th. Take stock of what you have built on Jupiter’s last visit to Sagittarius 12 years ago. It’s time to open up to boosting and enriching these themes again. The past year especially has been preparing you for a breakthrough…

.
