Introduction to Astrology Summer School

This course is meant for those who know little about astrology, or those who are starting to study on their own and want to strengthen their understanding. It is an introduction, a place to begin, on a traditional foundation from a modern perspective. Last cycle was very fun, with lots of great discussion!

This class is now 6 weeks long, with 2 extra classes to introduce new fundamental material. It will be running every Thursday (on Jupiter’s Day again, great for study!), from August 1 to September 5 at 6-8pm.

If anyone would like to attend the first class only to help decide on committing to the whole course, you may register for this option. Investment: $30 + QC tax.

Please note: Students who registered for the whole course in February 2019 may audit any/all of the first 4 weeks for free, to brush up on the material and get any questions answered.

Curriculum

Week 1: History of Astrology + The Zodiac
Week 2: Planets, Elements + Modes
Week 3: Chart Construction
Week 4: Houses + Aspects
Week 5: Moon Phases (new!)
Week 6: Intro to Plants + Planets (new!)

Location: Temple Mile End, Montréal

Registration Options

A Night with Jessica Lanyadoo: Astrology to Heal Self and Society

lanyadoo_fb.jpg

Enjoy a discussion with Jessica Lanyadoo about the healing potential of astrology for ourselves, and ultimately our world around us.

This will be the first astrology talk Jessica has ever given in her hometown! We look forward to her visit bringing the astrology community together here in Montreal.

We’ll get to know Jessica, and how she found her way to her compassionate approach to astrology. We’ll discuss the maxim of “change begins within” and how astrology can be used for healing and self-inquiry. We’ll explore Jessica’s views on the possible connections between astrology and activism, and how our current “astro-renaissance” can be a part of changing our world, inside and out, for the better.

This conversation will unfold in the form of an interview between Jessica and Montreal based astrologer Debbie Stapleton, followed by a Q+A for the local and virtual attendees.

Talk and Q+A: 7-9 pm
Social Hour: 9-10 pm
Location: The Pine Collective, #314 10 Ave Des Pins West
*the event is on the 3rd floor, but there is a freight elevator available for accessibility needs.

About Jessica:
Oakland based astrologer Jessica Lanyadoo is known for her hip, no-nonsense approach to astrology, spirituality, and self-care. For Jessica, no topic is taboo, and no question asked is unworthy of kindness.
